Yowaki MAX Reijō Anime Sets October 4 Debut, Theme Songs

The television anime for Hiro Oda's 'Yowaki MAX Reijō nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta' light novel series will premiere on October 4. Kadokawa announced the debut date alongside theme song artists, new cast members, and a promotional video.

Konomi Suzuki performs the opening theme song "Gōki MAX Sengen." Miku Itō, who also voices the protagonist, performs the ending theme "Yoake Made ni." A new promotional video previews both tracks.

Broadcast and Streaming Details

The anime will first air on AT-X on October 4 at 11:30 p.m. It will broadcast later that same night on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS Asahi, among other channels. Streaming in Japan begins on October 4 at 24:00 on d Anime Store, Hulu, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai. That time is effectively 12:00 a.m. On October 5.

New Cast and Staff

New cast members were revealed. Haruka Shiraishi joins as Amelia Keys. Shōgo Sakata plays Phillip, and Shōya Ishige voices Mike. Character name romanizations for these roles are not yet confirmed.

The main cast, as previously announced, includes Miku Itō as Pia Rockwell and Ryōta Ōsaka as Rufus Stan. Rina Hidaka, Sora Amamiya, Haruki Ishiya, and Shizuka Ishigami also star.

Nobuaki Nakanishi directs the anime at studio Jumondo. Hiroko Fukuda oversees the series scripts. Music composition is handled by Moe Hyūga and Natsuki Hamada at Kadokawa.

Story and Source Material

The series is a romantic comedy. An ordinary graduate student is reincarnated as a 10-year-old background villainess named Pia in an otome game. Knowing the game's story ends with her engagement broken and her banishment, she asks her fiancé, Rufus Stan, to cancel their betrothal early. Her request intrigues him instead. Rufus then proposes a bet to see if he will actually call off their engagement in seven years.

Hiro Oda first launched the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in January 2020. Kadokawa began publishing the light novels with illustrations by Tsubasa.v in August 2020. The seventh volume shipped in April 2024. A manga adaptation by Aji Murata runs on Kadokawa's Flos Comic site. Its fifth compiled volume was released on February 16. According to the source, the overall project has 1.2 million copies in circulation.
