A Wild Last Boss Appeared! Season 2 Cast, Theme, and October

The television anime 'Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta!' (A Wild Last Boss Appeared!) has announced new cast members, its ending theme, and released a second promotional video for its upcoming second season. According to the official website, the new cour is scheduled to premiere on October 3 at 10:30 p.m. On Tokyo MX, with subsequent broadcasts on BS Asahi and Kansai TV.

New Cast and Ending Theme

Three new voice actors have joined the cast for the second season. Atsushi Miyauchi, known for his role in 'Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou', will voice Sagittarius. Akio Ootsuka, from 'Fate/Zero', takes the role of Leon. Shuuhei Sakaguchi, of 'Reincarnation no Kaben' fame, will voice Mercurius.

The ending theme song for the season will be "Yurete Skirt," performed by the girls band chakura. A preview of the song is featured in the newly released second promotional video.

Production Staff and Background

Yuuya Horiuchi, director of 'Nijiyon Animation', is directing the anime at studio WAO World. Series composition is handled by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, known for his work on 'Black Clover'. Character designs are by Maiko Ebisawa, who served as an animation director on 'Undead Unluck'. The music is being composed by Technoboys Pulcraft Green-Fund, the team behind 'Kakegurui'.

The first season of the anime, produced by WAO World, aired in the Fall 2025 season as a 12-episode series. It was simulcast by Crunchyroll with subtitles and later received dubbed versions in multiple languages.

Source Material and Adaptations

The story is based on the action fantasy light novel series written by Firehead. The author began serializing the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2015. Earth Star Entertainment later acquired the series, publishing the light novel in print under its Earth Star Novel imprint with illustrations by YahaKo starting in February 2016. The light novel concluded with its ninth volume in April 2019.

A manga adaptation, illustrated by Tsubasa Hazuki, began in Comic Earth☆Star in June 2017. The 11th volume of the manga was shipped by Earth Star Entertainment in November 2025.

J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and manga for English digital release. The light novel was licensed in April 2020, with its final ninth volume released in July 2022. The manga was licensed in January 2024, and its 11th volume went on sale on August 26. This information was reported by Moca News.
