The opening theme song "Forever Song" will be performed by the rock band Humbreaders. The dance and vocal group KID PHENOMENON will perform the ending theme "I'm still breathing."
Broadcast Details
The premiere is scheduled for October 11 at 5:00 p.m. JST (4:00 a.m. EDT). It will air on MBS, TBS, and 26 other affiliated channels. This continues the anime's broadcast in the "Nichigo" Sunday programming block. Hulu streams the new season.
The second season's first part, which premiered on April 12, concluded with its 39th overall episode on June 28. The first season launched in April 2024.
Production Staff
Mirai Minato continues as chief director at studio SILVER LINK and oversees series scripts. Takahiro Nakatsugawa, who served as a storyboard artist and episode director for the first season, is directing. Key returning staff members include character designer Mizuki Takahashi, composer Kōji Fujimoto, and sound director Tōru Kanegae.
Story Synopsis
Disney provides the series description. High school student Taiyou Asano becomes socially withdrawn after his family dies in a car crash. His only friend is Mutsumi Yozakura, the head of the world's strongest spy family. Mutsumi's lethally overprotective eldest brother, Kyouichirou, targets Taiyou. To survive, Taiyou must marry Mutsumi and join the Yozakura family, start a journey to become a spy and uncover dark secrets.
Source Material and Availability
The anime adapts Hitsuji Gondaira's Mission: Yozakura Family manga. Gondaira, also known for Demon Prince Poro's Diaries, launched the series in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2019. Serialization ended in January 2025, with the 29th and final volume published in March 2025.
Viz Media has published the manga digitally in English since its Japanese debut. The company began releasing digital volumes in December 2020 and physical volumes starting in October 2022. Shueisha's MANGA Plus service also offers a digital English release. The franchise includes several novels.
