My Sword Saint Master Anime Reveals Staff and Visual

The television anime adaptation of the manga 'My Sword Saint Master Is Too Cute to Live With!' has announced its core production staff and unveiled a new promotional visual. According to the anime's official website, the series is being directed by Masayoshi Nishida at animation studios Wolfsbane and Lightbox.

Production Staff and Studio

Masayoshi Nishida, known for 'Princess Knight' and 'Little Astro Boy', is directing. Noriyoshi Sasaki serves as the series' technical director. Yōhei Kashii, the scriptwriter for 'TenPuru' and 'My One-Hit Kill Sister', is in charge of series composition. Character designs are by Ichirō Tanaka, with Ayame Etō and Yusho Hayakawa as sub-character designers. Hayakawa is also the chief animation director. The music is being composed by 12sound.

Additional key staff include Kazuki Kuwahara as sound director and Kōhei Ogawa as compositing director of photography at Gekkō. The anime is being produced by WWWave Corporation's Deregula anime label.

Source Material and Story

The anime is based on the manga by author Kennoji and artist R_ringo. Seven Seas Entertainment, which has licensed the manga for English release, describes the story. It follows Eugene Dawson, a man whose desire to become strong leads him to a powerful Sword Saint named Liza Parsandra. The publisher states, "Her stats? Stacked. Her power? Unmatched. Her looks? Deadly gorgeous."

However, Liza's scatterbrained personality and tendency for physical contact during training present unique challenges for her dedicated trainee. The series is pitched as a fun and sexy romantic comedy.

Manga Background and Release

The original manga launched on the KadoComi website in March 2024. Its second compiled volume shipped in Japan on January 23. Seven Seas Entertainment announced its license for the manga at Anime Expo in July and plans to release it in English starting in June 2027 under its Ghost Ship imprint.

Author Kennoji has several other works that have received adaptations, including 'Drugstore in Another World: The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist', which inspired a television anime in July 2021. No broadcast window or specific cour for the 'My Sword Saint Master' anime has been announced at this time.
