Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Anime Premieres October 11
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus revealed its theme songs and an Oct. 11, 2026 premiere in a new trailer. It will also have a world premiere at NY Comic Con.
The Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime will premiere on October 11, 2026. A new trailer titled SUPER SURGE previewed the series' opening and ending theme songs and offered an extended look at battles between Goku and the God of Destruction.
The trailer showcases updated visuals for the project's ENHANCED edition. It also teases the resurrection of the villain Frieza, featuring the character in several scenes. According to a press release reported by Anime Corner, this series leads up to the anticipated Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol anime adaptation.
Theme Song Artists Revealed
The opening theme song is ONOGAMI performed by MEGATERA-ZERO. The ending theme is Kan Peki no Peki by VK Blanka. Both artists shared their personal connections to the franchise.
MEGATERA-ZERO stated the song was written to capture all the fighters in Dragon Ball, including formidable enemies, and expressed happiness to be part of such a significant series.
VK Blanka called the participation an honor, describing the song as one made by drawing out everything inside, including strength, courage, sadness, and injustice.
New York Comic Con World Premiere
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will hold a special panel at New York Comic Con 2026 for an advance screening. The Dragon Ball Super: Beerus SPECIAL PANEL is scheduled for October 8 from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. Local time at the Javits Center's Empire Stage.
Voice actors Jason Douglas (Beerus) and Ian Sinclair (Whis) will appear as panelists. Monica Rial, the voice of Bulma, will host the event. Attendees are set to receive exclusive merchandise including a fan chain, a face towel, and a Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World Energy Marker.
Franchise Background
The Dragon Ball Super TV anime originally ran from July 2015 to March 2018 for a total of 131 episodes. The new Beerus anime continues the story from the manga, which began serialization in 2015 and is still ongoing. The series follows Goku and his friends as they face Beerus, the powerful God of Destruction, who awakens to a prophecy about his demise.
The franchise's creator, Akira Toriyama, passed away on March 1, 2024. The latest film, Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO, was released in theaters in August 2022.
