Story and episode information
The storyline resumes immediately after the first season ended. Asta and the Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom are training for a raid on the Spade Kingdom. Their mission is to rescue Yami and Vangeance from the Advent of Qliphoth ritual. Asta must unlock a new power to succeed.
The premiere episode is titled 'War Begins'. Accounts differ on the first season's conclusion, with some stating it ended in 2017 and others noting it concluded in 2021 after 170 episodes. Production was paused because the anime had nearly caught up to the manga's serialization point.
