Silent Witch Author, Mushoku Tensei Artist Launch New Light

Author Matsuri Isora and illustrator Sirotaka are launching a new light novel series. The official X account for 'Boukyaku no Curse Knight' (The Curse Knight of Oblivion) announced the project on Thursday. Earth Star Entertainment will publish the first volume under its Earth Star Novel imprint on November 13.
Isora is best known as the author of 'Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto' (Secrets of the Silent Witch). They began writing that series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2020. Fujimi Shobo published the first print volume in June 2021. The light novel's 12th volume was released on June 10, and the 13th is scheduled for November 10. Studio Gokumi adapted 'Silent Witch' into a 13-episode television anime in the Summer 2025 cour. Crunchyroll simulcast the series.
The Illustrator's Pedigree
Sirotaka provides the artwork for the new novel. They are the illustrator for the highly popular 'Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu' (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) light novels. Rifujin na Magonote originally wrote that story on Shousetsuka ni Narou. Kadokawa began printing the novels with Sirotaka's illustrations in January 2014. The 26th and final volume was released in November 2022.
The anime adaptation of 'Mushoku Tensei' is a major production. Studio Bind animated a 23-episode first season that aired across the Winter and Fall 2021 cours. A 24-episode second season aired in two parts in Summer 2023 and Spring 2024. The third season began its broadcast on July 6. Crunchyroll streams the anime globally.
