Dengeki Daisy Anime Confirms Winter 2027 Debut for Two Cours
The Dengeki Daisy anime adaptation revealed new cast, staff, and a promo video. It will run for two consecutive cours starting in January 2027.
The television anime adaptation of Kyousuke Motomi's Dengeki Daisy manga has revealed a major update. New cast members, additional staff, a key visual, and the first promotional video were unveiled at a stage event during the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2026. The series is scheduled to air for two consecutive cours beginning in January 2027.
Souta Ueno, known for his work on Gimai Seikatsu, is directing the anime at Studio Deen. Sawako Hirabayashi, from Tsuma, Shougakusei ni Naru., is handling the series composition. Character designs are being crafted by Ayaka Murakami of Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Haikara! Fame. The music will be composed by Masaru Yokoyama, the composer behind the hit series Horimiya.
New Cast and Staff Additions
The announcement introduced four new cast members joining the previously revealed leads. The voice actors and their notable previous roles are listed in the table below.
A significant number of staff members were also confirmed for key production roles. The art design team includes Kenichi Tajiri from Mukuo Studio and Goichi Katanosaka. Shuuhei Nishitani is in charge of prop design, while Mizuki Nakagawa serves as the color designer. Art direction is a joint effort between Rieko Itai and Chunri Rong. Jarakon Worapon is the director of photography, with Ooshima Shinsuke as the 3D director. Akane Shiraishi is handling editing. Sound direction is led by Jin Aketagawa, with sound production managed by Magic Capsule.
Manga Background and Adaptation
Dengeki Daisy is a shoujo romance comedy manga originally serialized by Kyousuke Motomi in Betsucomi magazine. The series ran from May 2007 to October 2013. Shogakukan published the 16th and final compiled volume in February 2014. The manga was licensed for English release by VIZ Media in July 2010, with the final English volume released in April 2015.
The new promotional video offers the first animated look at the adaptation. It shows the main characters and hints at the series' tone, blending romance and comedy as established in the source material. The key visual released alongside the promo features the central characters against a detailed background.
Broadcast Plans and Production
This extended run suggests the production aims to adapt a substantial portion of the 16-volume manga. Studio Deen's involvement, combined with the detailed staff list covering art, 3D, and sound, points to a comprehensive production effort. The series is one of the early titles confirmed for the Winter 2027 anime season, generating anticipation among fans of the classic shoujo manga.
