Jooheon had gone to great lengths to secure this specialist to overcome his overreliance on the Dominance ability. He trapped the repairman, Jaeha, in an inescapable contract under duress. A key point of frustration for Jones is that Jooheon does not actually need the repairman's skills. The protagonist can use his Dominance ability to repair relics faster and better himself. This renders the entire subplot and Jaeha's forced servitude narratively pointless.
