New Romantic Comedy Manga Launches in September
Crystal na Yōsuke's new series, Tokoro de Machi Chūka wa Date ni Irimasu ka?, is set to premiere in the next issue of Monthly Sunday Gene-X magazine.
A new romantic comedy manga series is set to launch in September. Crystal na Yōsuke's Tokoro de Machi Chūka wa Date ni Irimasu ka? (By the Way, Is the Local Chinese Restaurant a Date Spot?) will debut in the next issue of Shogakukan's *Monthly Sunday Gene-X* magazine on September 18.
The series involves a love triangle between a girl who loves bing-eating, a food company salaryman, and a food blogging live-streamer. This is not Crystal na Yōsuke's first foray into romantic comedy manga, as they have previously launched the Osake wa Fūfu ni Natte kara series in 2015.
Crystal na Yōsuke's previous manga series, Osake wa Fūfu ni Natte kara, was adapted into a 13-episode anime series in 2017. The anime, titled Love is Like a Cocktail, was streamed on Crunchyroll and featured an unaired 14th episode on the Blu-ray Disc release in November 2018.
Crystal na Yōsuke has also previously worked on the Bonnō☆Saiyūki manga, which ended in its 13th volume on January 19. The launch of Tokoro de Machi Chūka wa Date ni Irimasu ka? marks a new chapter in the career of this prolific manga creator.
