Amyuu Sakura's school music manga 'Kono Oto Tomare!' will conclude in three chapters, with the final chapter set for the October 2026 issue of Jump SQ.
Manga creator Amyuu Sakura announced on Sunday that their series 'Kono Oto Tomare!' will end in three chapters. The final chapter is scheduled for the October 2026 issue of Jump SQ. magazine, which releases on September 4.
In the announcement, posted on the official X account @amuse8, Amyuu expressed deep gratitude to readers. The author noted this is their first serialized work and credited continuous fan support for the series' long run, vowing to put full effort into the remaining chapters.

Amyuu began serializing the school music-themed manga in Jump SQ. magazine in August 2012. Shueisha published the 34th volume on June 4. The series has a cumulative 7.5 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Anime Adaptation and Recognition
Platinum Vision produced a 26-episode television anime adaptation. It aired in two split-season cours between April and December 2019. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles in multiple languages and an English dub.
The 'Kono Oto Tomare! - Tokise High School Koto Songs' album, released in March 2017, won an Excellence Prize at the 72nd National Arts Festival Record and the Traditional Japanese Music Album of the Year at the 32nd Gold Disc Awards.
Story Synopsis
Following the graduation of every other member of the Koto Music Club, Takezou Kurata is left alone as the new club president. He struggles to recruit anyone due to a lack of interest.
Just as Kurata loses hope, the feared delinquent Chika Kudou appears, claiming he will join and become club president himself. Kurata initially refuses, aware of dark rumors about Kudou.
After discovering a more vulnerable side to Kudou and his mysterious connection to the club, Kurata rethinks his decision. The soon-to-be defunct club is saved with the help of koto prodigy Satowa Houzuki, who recruits Kudou's friends Saneyasu Adachi, Michitaka Sakai, and Kouta Mizuhara.
With sufficient numbers, Houzuki declares they will aim to become the best koto players in the nation. This ragtag bunch of young musicians faces a road filled with challenges. By overcoming fears and differences, their aspirations may come true. The synopsis was written by MAL Rewrite.
