The latest trailer for Fortnite Battle Royale's upcoming season has been released, giving fans a glimpse of what's to come. The trailer, which is just over 90 seconds long, features the new theme for Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override" and teases characters from several iconic video game franchises.
## Teased Characters
The trailer features a variety of characters from different franchises, including Sonic, Tails, and Dr. Robotnik from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise; Joker from the Persona franchise; Pac-Man and one of the ghosts from the Pac-Man franchise; Crash from the Crash Bandicoot franchise; Mega Man; Spyro from the Spyro the Dragon franchise; several Mortal Kombat characters; and the Tetris blocks.
## Previous Collaborations
Fortnite Battle Royale is no stranger to collaborations with video game properties. The game has previously partnered with the Mortal Kombat franchise for a brief in-game collaboration in March 2025. It has also featured player cosmetics of Master Chief from the Halo: Combat Evolved franchise, Doom Slayer from the Doom franchise, and Solid Snake from the Metal Gear franchise, among others.
## Upcoming Season Launch
Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 7 Season 4 “Override” will launch on August 20.
